I cannot find a solution for hacked profile

My Disqus profile has been "hacked". I haven't been locked out of my account, but my password and email has been changed due to the hacking incident of G+ sync way back. So I can't delete my profile, change the email or change the password. Thing is, there is no possible way to contact Disqus support, or solve this problem in any way.

Disqus is NOT interested in handling any problems that crop up. Their phone number doesn't connect you with help and any attempt by the pissed customer to remedy the situation is ignored.

I have been sent a number of emails from Disqus to confirm my email--this with the actual PROPER email address. They continue to add characters to my email, so I will never get any way to confirm my address. I am STILL not confirmed and never will be. They have no way for us to get help when someone has hacked our account. They have no way to prevent our accounts from being hacked. They don't caredD have have a

Hate, threats, danger, etc

Want to read a comic about children or a hedgehog and a bat in a relationship? Be prepared for racism, people promoting child abuse, covid-hoaxers, your marriage insulted, sexism, constant harassment, threats, and possibly even doxing and definitely hatred to fact-checking. This is all over the Comics Kingdom forums hosted by Disqus, which claims to enforce rules they make. The moderation is a broken algorithm that isn't even used half the time and just censors random words used in the comic itself. Facebook has far better protection and rules enforcement.

User's recommendation: Use facebook instead and cancel/boycott disqus.

Constant harassment

Update by user Jan 30, 2021

I tried twitter and facebook. I was lied to about the issues.

Original review posted by user Jan 29, 2021
Threats, covid lies, libel, advocating child abuse, impersonating moderators, hate/threats against/ and pushing rhetoric against fact-checking, racism, sexism, and just plain insults are rampant on Disquis, especially the Comics Kingdom Dsiquis chat (and several other hosts chatbaords). No rules against harassment, threats, trolling, being vulgar, impersonation, etc are ever enforced. Want to see a cute comic about a hedgehog and a bat or silly things kids do? be prepared to find racist claims, covid-hoaxers, people saying it's okay to hit children with belts, and to have your marriage insulted.

User's recommendation: Issue warnings and remove posts.

They’ve been hacked too many times

I dont remember subscribing to this site but discovered I had a log in and password on my phone. I signed in and it asked to verify my email address. I clicked the request link, immediately saw a strange image like someone was staring back at me and then got a error message. I was done and just deleted the account

User's recommendation: Don’t trust it. Stay away it’s probably still hacked.

AERhose TRKeas is a Content Thief

The user alias mentioned among the string of comments known as Thoryne, AERhose, TRKeas, etc has posted again for those following the comments. She has apparently been required to stay home and be under supervision. However, this user who to my knowledge from the prior comments from several others she has made false claims about provided, Thoryne has seemingly broke court order and was no longer allowed online. This appears to be another issue as this person has once again began to post online. Her most recent ploy is with the NaNoWriMo website under her handle there, Thoryne where she has announced during the month long writing period that her next project would be "The Things that were lost" no further information has been given. From what I found from her profiles, many of them have either been deleted, or have no longer been updated to show current status of the user. This is either another camouflage tactic to further hide her identity or an attempt at creating another such alias. Further investigation dictates that she had either sold her rights regarding her Lost in The Apocalypse story to someone else or has stolen it in its entirety from the user Arin Jones on Twitter and Wattpad as this manga artist published the story before Thoryne and the story itself has well into 28 chapters. The manga artist has been contacted but has not yet replied.

The person AERhose,Thoryne, whatever knows they can be sued, right? They try and keep taking stuff from other people without properly crediting them or not asking permission they'll rack up some hard hitting legal fees.

To clarify the later portion of your post, the user Arin Jones on Wattpad created the content before this Thoryne, AERhose and TRKeas person. As for the NaNoWriMo site, the title you mentioned and what Thoryne posted sounds very similar to what Studio Ghibli and Mary Norton's animation The Secret Life of Erietty and The Borrower's novel that was later turned into a movie and remake. Studio Ghibli put his own spin on the novel by focusing on only certain aspects of the characters, plot and making something entirely new with it. Just wanting to make this clear - this is nothing more than a hunch, and my own thoughts in terms of the title given alone.

My first thought when hearing the title "The Things that were Lost" is The Borrower's. If this person doesn't go through the proper legal channels to use the content, then the companies will eventually come after her.

@PissedConsumer1983318

Yeah, no... AERhose, sweetie, are you just wanting attention or just stupid? Studio Ghibli alone can bury you in legal fees, not to mention Square Enix simply for using a likeness of a character without giving credit.

Problems with my Disqus account.

I received a notice from Disqus that I hadn't verified my e-mail account that they required to be verified. When I accessed my profile page, the information contained there was totally incorrect. I updated my Screen name and email on the Disqus profile page. In spite of the updates I made and saved to my profile, those updates were not reflected in my attempts to complete my verification process. I also updated my email from the one shown on my profile that was not anything like my actual email address. During this period, whenever I clicked on the link to "send me an email" in order to verify my account, the pop-up window I received had an input line to enter my email address but would not let me access the input line for my email input. I tried to complete the verification process numerous times, all without any success. In addition to these user difficulties, after I updated my profile, my full name started showing up the Disqus site. With the propensity of people today to use information like a name as a means to dox that individual if certain parties disagree with the nature of the posts and comments made by an individual. I can't get a verification email to confirm my email account which is holding up the entire process of logging into the Disqus forum. Since Disqus apparently doesn't have any means of contacting a person in their Customer Service group who could let me know what steps they might be able to take or those I need to take to resolve these issues.
